This unique two day workshop has been specifically designed to provide a comprehensive overview of S106 management and monitoring for Local Authority Officers.

The course is ideal for anyone seeking to improve their understanding of the required practice and procedures for S106, or improve current performance and effectiveness. It will be particularly useful for new or aspiring S106 Officers and Managers, Legal or Administrative Officers with an input into S106 and Planning Officers looking to develop and enhance their professional skills.

The workshop will cover all main aspects of S106 management, including negotiating contributions, understanding agreements, correspondence, reporting, payments, discharging covenants, land charges and enforcement.

Course leader Geoff Kirby spent ten years as a Local Authority Planning Contributions Manager, during which time he provided training to more than two hundred Councils in S106 monitoring and enforcement under the auspices of the Planning Advisory Service. The workshop programme will also feature other guest speakers with expert knowledge in particular areas of S106 management and best practice.

The cost for the two-day workshop is just £450 + VAT per person, which includes a two course lunch and refreshments on both days. The workshop venue is located on the outskirts of Colchester, and has excellent transport links to the rest of the UK by road and rail.

Space at the workshop is strictly limited to 20 places so that this intensive course can be covered thoroughly with a small delegate group. Demand is expected to be high and early booking is strongly recommended.
